Using Multimedia Authoring software such as HyperStudio, or MediaBlender, students will collaboratively author and illustrate an electronic Choose-Your-Own-Adventure story.  Throughout the process, students will be exposed to what it takes to do a whole-class collaborative project, in terms of communication, organization, compromise, and following directions.  While all students will partake in the writing and illustrating process, while learning the mechanics of the multimedia authoring software, they will also have the opportunity to become and "expert" in a particular area of interest.  Specific roles will be assigned for the following:  Artist, editor, narrator, sound-effects specialist, animator, programmer, technician, and task-manager.  Upon completion of the story, students will reflect on the process that resulted in the end product, and how they could apply these same strategies to their own classroom.
